Thank you for participating in Turkey Cup 2024 this Sunday, November 24, 2024! We’re excited to have you with us. Please read through this entire email to ensure you have all the information you need for a smooth tournament experience.

BEFORE GAME DAY

• ALL PLAYERS must be registered by 11:59 PM on Friday, November 22nd to be eligible to play. Only rostered players can participate.
• YOUR TEAM ROSTER:
  
  • Must have a minimum of 8 players to be eligible for the Playoff Bracket.
  • All players must have an acceptable Profile Photo uploaded for Roster Checks. NO PHOTO = NO PLAY.
  • MAX Roster: 18 players

• JERSEY #:
  • All players (except the goalie) must have a PERMANENT # on the back of their shirt/jersey. Players without #s will not be allowed to play.
• JERSEY COLORS:
  • Please bring dark and light-colored shirts/jerseys with #s, ensuring all players wear the same color.
  • In the event of a color conflict, Away teams will need to change.

GAME DAY 

• MEN'S 8V8 POOL PLAY begins at 8:10 AM
• WOMEN'S 8V8 POOL PLAY BEGINS AT 9:50 AM
• POOL PLAY SCHEDULE is posted at: https://fxasports.com/tournaments/turkey-cup
• The Playoff Bracket will be posted as soon as the final pool play scores are in.
• Pool Play Standings will be determined by:
  1. Record
  2. Head-to-head
  3. Points differential
  4. Points allowed
  5. Points scored
  6. Coin flip (if needed)
• All players must be at the field at least 15 minutes BEFORE your first game.
• If your team is not on the field, ready to play within 5 minutes after game time, it will be considered a FORFEIT. (NO EXCEPTIONS!)
• Games will consist of two 20-minute halves with a 5-minute halftime.
• Red Card Rule: If you receive a red card, you will be ineligible for the next game. A second red card will make you ineligible for the rest of the tournament.
• Captains – Pick up your Turkey Cup Shirts at the FXA Tent after your 1st game. If your players need a different size, ask the other teams to trade for a size.

PARKING

• There is plenty of parking at Greenbriar Park and Arrowhead Park.
• Arrowhead Park has two parking lots:
  • If your pool play games are at Arrowhead Field 1, you should park in the gravel lot near the field.
  • If your pool play games are at Arrowhead Field 3, or the gravel lot is full, park in the Colin Powell Elementary School lot (next main driveway on the right past the gravel lot).

PLAYOFFS

• The top 2 teams from each pool will be selected to play in a single-elimination tournament.
• Pool Winners will be seeded #1-8 for Men's and #1-2 for Women's.
• Pool Runners-up will be seeded #9-16 for Men's and #3-4 for Women's.
• The bracket will be posted on the schedule page and emailed out to all players as soon as standings are finalized.
  • Men's Bracket starts at 4:30 PM.
  • Women's Bracket starts at 7:00 PM.
• Bracket Seeding will be determined by:
  1. Record:
     For Men's: Seeds #1-8: first-place pool finishers, Seeds #9-16: second-place finishers
     For Women's: Seeds #1-2: first-place pool finishers, Seeds #3-4: second-place finishers
  2. Points scored differential
  3. Points allowed
  4. Points scored
  5. Coin flip (if needed)

TIPS & INFO

• Each team is required to bring 1-2 game balls.
• All players MUST have an acceptable Profile Photo for Roster Checks. NO PHOTO = NO PLAY!
• All players are required to wear shin guards.
• You are welcome to bring chairs, tents, canopies, but please do not set them up on the turf fields.
